Functions of the cell:
  • The maintenance of academic standards within the college, and the planning, co-ordination, development, review of the curriculum and all academic work of the college.
  • Controlling and regulating teaching, awards, the admission of students, assessment, the discipline of students, and other matters relating to teaching, examining and research, through Regulations approved by the Academic Council.
  • Set the Vision and Mission of the college.
  • Set the PO’s and PSO’s of the college.
  • Providing the Governing Body with assurance that academic governance, including the standard of university awards, the student academic experience and student outcomes, are adequate and effective.
  • Make regulations regarding the admission of students to different programmes of study in the college keeping in view the policy of the Government.
  • Arranging teaching requirements for completing academic programs.
  • Supervising the functioning of the Central Library of the college.
  • Promote research and extension activities in the college campus.
  • Review the students and faculty development programs.
  • Collaborating with other academic institutes and industry.
  • Visualize and formulate perspective plans for the development and growth of the college.
  • Keep vigilance on the attendance of teachers and regularity in taking the classes.
  • Plan for sustaining the quality of education, quality improvement and accreditation of the college.
  • Creating a conducive environment in order to develop entrepreneurship.
  • Ensuring self-mastery amongst the students and take disciplinary action to the students for violation and disobedience to the college rule.

Objectives:
The Admissions Process is extremely important since it affects the college's reputation. This committee's two main goals are to select the best students and to provide equal opportunity to all without discrimination.. At the end of each academic year, a separate committee is constituted to oversee the admission of students for the next year. The Committee assists and advises students in selecting the appropriate course of study.
Functions: 
  • To improve the admission process at RISE Krishna Sai Prakasam Group of Institutions.
  • To aid guidance and counseling procedures referring to admissions in the Institute.
  • To lead the admissions team and oversee the counseling process in the admissions department.
  • To assist parents and students seeking admission to the various programmes of the Institute in resolving their queries.
  • To make decisions about the concessions that the management has set forth.
Roles & Responsibilities of the Chairman
  • To complete all the matters pertaining to Admissions of the students at both UG & PG level.
  • To give all relevant information to students and parents about admissions under the A Category (Convener Quota) and B Category (Management Quota). For more information, there is a link to the college's website.
 Roles & Responsibilities of Coordinator
  1. To make a plan for addressing 12th standard, diploma students as a career counseling activity.
  2. To prepare eye-catching brochures, prospectuses, and handouts for increasing exposure.
  3. To place advertisements in newspapers regarding admissions as soon as the respective Conveners of Admissions have given their approval.
  4. To guide the students and to communicate with their parents during admission process.
  5. To provide advice to the Principal on how to improve facilities based on inputs received from parents and students during admissions counseling.
  6. To issue notifications for Spot admission & Category-B (MQ) admissions in compliance with the State Government guidelines.
  7. To submit the admissions list to the authorities appears to be appropriate, and it seeks their permission.

FUNCTIONS OF THE CELL
  • To look into the complaints lodged by any student, and judge its merit.
  • To assure students that the grievance has been solved in a stipulated time limit provided by the cell.
  • To facilitate students with a genuine grievance approaching the department members in person, or in consultation with the mentor .
  • Keeping the parents informed about the attendance and performance of their wards from time to time and guiding the students to choose right career paths for jobs, higher studies, entrepreneurship etc, is the prime motto.

    Functions of Hostel Committee:- The committee will look after: The hostel committee shall assist the Council of Wardens in the timely allotment of the rooms, report any unauthorised use or misuse of hostel or guest rooms and bring to notice any untoward incidence occurring in the Hostel premises.The hostel committee shall supervise and ensure proper and limited use of electricity and water in the hostel premises. Roles & Responsibilities of Hostel Committee:-
    1. Report all maintenance needs in the Hostel and also follow up the steps to implement the necessary action.
    2. Manage and update the hostel webpage.
    3. Report all misdemeanors to the Warden for further action. The misdemeanours referred to here would also include not following proper cleanliness procedure both in the mess and the canteen. A more detailed list of misdemeanors will be presented separately.
    4. Report violation of policies by students on motorized vehicle including parking.
    5. Report issues with running of mess and canteen to the mess and canteen committee for discussion and final action.
    6. Take decision on the request of day scholars to stay in the hostel as a guest for a short period, not exceeding three days at a stretch.
    7. The hostel committee will look in to the complaints or suggestion received by way of an email and take necessary action. In the event of the complainant wishing his name not to be publicized, the information will rest only with the warden and his nominee who operates the account. No anonymous mails will be entertained.
    Hostel Disciplinary Committee: - The committee is empowered to impose punishments in certain category of violations of hostel code of conduct as will be detailed later. Their scope will be limited to punishments relating to hostel code violations, and the punishment will be restricted to removal from the hostel. For other/more serious offenses, or offense that may need more severe punishment, the committee should refer the matter to DOSAH. List of Hostel Committee Members list

    • Maintain pick up and drop schedule with time table of all the departments maintain vehicles in a safe and roadworthy condition at all times.

    Objective:- To conduct Internal Assessment and External Assessment Examination related work for all UG and PG courses as per guidelines issued by the JNTU Kakinada from time to time. Functions of Examination and Timetable Committee:-
    1. Coordinates with administration department, to receive the details of fresh batch of students.
    2. Collection and maintenance of student’s bio data from the students.
    3. Arranges to prepare the list of candidates and courses for which they are appearing for.
    4. Conduction of all University examinations for the students of various UG/PG programmes as per the guidelines by JNTU, Kakinada
    5. Preparation of invigilator duty list for all university examination work.
    6. The Examination Committee will make policies regarding holding of different examinations and shall make Hall plan, Seating Arrangement and display them on the concerned Notice Board and Blocks.
    7. The Exam Committee shall hold pre-exam meetings to brief the members of faculty with regard to the examination procedures.
    8. Coordinate with respective HoD and Collection of question paper sets from the department, printing and disseminating for the Internal Assessment Examinations.
    9. Receives the Internal marks (finalized) and the attendance of each section of students from respective Head of the department duly signed by the Principal and arranges to forward the same to Director of Evaluation, JNTUK.
    10. Receives the filled examination Application forms from the students.
    11. Arranging required number of subject experts for evaluation work at university and upload the same in university portal with in specified time.
    12. Collection of practical examination schedule from the departments.
    13. Coordinates distribution of hall tickets through the department class mentors.
    14. Downloading of question papers from university and printing, ensuring confidentiality.
    15. Inform the Chief Superintendent with regard to the malpractice cases, if any, and forwards the same to the Director of Evaluation, JNTUK to take decisions.
    16. To ensure that the entire exam related documents reach the university in time.
    17. Arranges to receive Marks statements and the Consolidated Mark Statements of students from JNTUK.
    18. Arranges to get the Provisional Certificates and Degree Certificates of the graduated students from the University.
    19. To process the exam remuneration bills on time.
    20. Conduct result analysis and provide the same to each HoD and Principal.
    21. All examination concerned records to be kept in safe custody and be made available as and when required.
    22. Distribution of marks lists to the students after the results of various examinations received from the university.
    23. Supporting the companies in student background verification
    24. Any circular, Guideline, office order, Notification received by the University are processed in the Examination Cell, reply thereof prepared and after Principal’s signature dispatched or circulates to the concerned Departments/ Students.
    The list of duties and responsibilities outlined above is representative and not a complete and detailed list of tasks, and may be requested to perform other reasonable tasks, if any commensurate to the examination from time to time. Responsibilities of coordinator:
    • Ensuring the communication of schedules, examination timetables and room plans.
    • Monitoring the conduction of MID and End semester theory exam as per schedule date
    • To plan for effective evaluation techniques. Also aim at continuous monitoring of the same.
    • Monitoring the records of each student’s attendance monthly
    • Making the arrangements to conduct extra tests if the students failed to attend the test due to any unavoidable reasons with permission duly undersigned.
    • Finally compilation of final internal marks of each student at the end of odd/even semester to send the same to the university

    Vision-Mission
    Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), RISE Krishna Sai Prakasam Group of Institutions, Ongole was established on 12-July-2016 under the chairmanship of head of the institution with the aim to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions. IQAC will make a significant and meaningful contribution and further channelize the efforts and measures of the institution towards academic excellence. IQAC, RISE Krishna Sai Prakasam Group of Institutions, Ongole will specifically focus on the creation of an institution-wide synergy imbibing the constituent efforts and feedback of the stakeholder’s viz. teaching and non-teaching staff, students, alumni, parents and others to generate quality sustenance and enhancement. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become a part of an institution's system and work towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance

    • Acts as a mediator between the Anti-Ragging squad, administration and the students
    • Prevents incidences of ragging
    • Educates students on the negativity of ragging and inculcates good values which help them refrain from such acts
    • Monitor Ragging activities in the Institution
    • Helps maintain the ethos of the Institution i.e. to make it a “Ragging free campus”
    • Meets students in the students’ assembly and brief them about the Institution’s stand about ragging
    • Organize Programmes to create awareness
    • Disseminates information on Anti-ragging rules & regulations
    • Gives heed to the recommendations of the Anti-Ragging Squad in the right perspective
    • Takes all necessary measures for prevention of Ragging inside the Campus/ Hostels
    • Considers the complaints received from the students and conduct enquiry and submit report along with punishment recommended for the offenders

    Based on the intensity of the ragging, the following punishment will be taken by the “Anti-Ragging Committee” in the presence of Principal.

    • Collective punishment: When the persons committing or abetting the crime of ragging are not identified, the institution shall resort to collective punishment as a deterrent to ensure community pressure on the potential raggers
    Role of Student mentors  :
    • To act as a role model and assist with the delivery of ACMS mentoring activities. They will visit their mentees in the hostel with the faculty member. They will introduce themselves to the freshers and orient the freshers in the presence of the faculty member.
    • They will aid the new students to settle down and make a smooth and peaceful transition to college life, and help them in adapting to a new environment.
    • They will act like peer counselors for the new students.
    • They will challenge negative behaviors on the part of his mentees appropriately and promote observance of the College Code of Conduct for Students.
    • They will provide information regarding contact numbers of College authorities and also hand over any printed information likebooklets, leaflets, etc. about anti-ragging measures/ induction programmes and orientation programmes to the new students.

    Swachhta Action Plan (SAP)
    Cleanliness needs to be cultivated as an important trait; hence, we try to inculcate a message among our student to respect hygiene, observe cleanliness and embrace health! We are concerned about clean campus, clean surroundings and clean and green nature!! The college has appointed a Swachhta Action Plan Committee to look after Greenery, Water management, Waste Management, Energy Management, Sanitation and Hygiene. Functions:

    SAP Functions

    Our campus has basic facilities such as clean and functional toilets, safe drinking water, clean surroundings and basic information on sanitation and hygiene. They are creating an environment which secures human dignity, safety, health and overall well-being. Moreover, Campus awareness about good sanitation practices is bringing the implementation of sanitation and hygiene education in our institute. Our institute implementing the initiatives for long term benefits of Sanitation and hygiene as follows:
    1. Physical Appearance and Overall Ambience.
    2. Post COVID19 Sanitation Measures and Drill
    3. Clean and functional toilets for men and women separately (365x24)
    4. Disabled-Friendly Toilets.
    5. Safe drinking water with Adequacy and Efficiency (365 x24)
    6. Dedicated Staff for Hygiene Maintenance
    7. Kitchen and Canteen Staff Apparel and Hygiene.
    8. Cleaning Equipment and Consumables
    Campus cleaning involves collecting the solid waste regularly from all class rooms, laboratories, library, mess and hostel. The collected waste is properly disposed in appropriate place using dustcart which includes shipping cost. Trashcans are used in the institution to collect waste materials. Damaged or worn out trashcans are replaced periodically and expenditure includes purchase of trashcans, trolleys, Gloves, etc, Maintenance of laboratories, Library and playground require special maintenance gadgets to clean and dispose the waste. Kitchen wastes are disposed regularly. Expenditure is incurred for the waste disposal containers and carriers.
    1. In our college we are providing drinking water to the staff and students in every floor with the help of tap system. 2. Constructing no of rainwater harvesting pits in the campus 3. Regularly monitoring the tap leakages and repairing that leakage works
    Audits energy efficient, cooling, lighting and water systems in the campus, monthly usage of electricity, incentivize reduced electricity usage by depts./buildings, create short term and long term plan for the use of solar energy in the campus. Solar plant :
    • A 500-kw Roof top solar power plant installed
    • Solar water coolers, lightning and water system in the campus.
       
    The college has adopted the ‘Green Campus’ system for environmental conservation and sustainability. There are main three pillars i.e. zero environmental foot print, positive impact on occupant health and performance and 100% graduates demonstrating environmental literacy. The goal is to reduce CO2 emission, energy and water use, while creating atmosphere where students can learn and be healthy

    Functions: The primary function of the Covid Cell is to oversee the implementation of SOPs given by the government so that the occurrence / spread of COVID in the campus is Restricted. With the help of all members, proper awareness is created and monitored for maintenance of health of everybody. Ultimately the campus is to be maintained COVID – FREE. Roles and Responsibilities of the Members: Ensuring of General Preventive Measures in the campus, Namely:
    • Physical distancing of at least 6 feet between persons.
    • Mandatory use of face covers/masks at all times inside the campus.
    • Frequent hand washing with soap (for at least 20 seconds) or use of alcohol based hand sanitizers (for at least 20 seconds).
    • Respiratory etiquettes to be strictly followed. This involves strict practice of covering one’s mouth and nose while coughing/sneezing with a tissue/handkerchief/flexed elbow and disposing off used tissues properly.
    • Self-monitoring of health by all and reporting any illness at the earliest.
    • Spitting shall be strictly prohibited.
    • Installation & use of Aarogya Setu App.

    • Ensuring the physical distancing between the students and avoidance of crowding (a maximum of 3 persons together). Seating in the class rooms must be such that at least one seat gap must be left between two students. Also to ensure that there is no Crowding at Canteen / Mess. Create awareness to ensure the students do not gather when leaving the school and in their free time. Sensitize students, parents, faculty and employees to create awareness on COVID appropriate behavior.
    • Regular Monitoring of Thermal scanning of Students, Faculty and staff. Also to ensure that every visiting member outside the campus (Parents and other Visitors) is properly screened and allowed after noting the details.
    • Availability of Sanitizers and masks is ensured.
    • Disposal of used masks, covers and gloves must be done carefully and into the dustbins with covers.
    • Early identification and Isolation of persons with signs of Cough, Fever or Difficulty in breathing. If identified at bus / Gate, such persons are not to be allowed inside the campus. If identified inside the campus, then
    • Place the ill person in the isolation room.
    • Inform parents/guardians as the case may be.
    • Patient will remain isolated while wearing a mask / face cover till such time they are examined by a doctor.
    • Immediately inform the nearest medical facility (hospital/clinic) or call the state or district helpline.
    • A risk assessment shall be undertaken by the designated public health authority (district RRT/treating physician) and accordingly further action is initiated regarding management of case, their contacts and need for disinfection.
