Functions:
F1. Identifying the needs and problems of the community/RISE and make the students to involve in solving the problems.

F2. Develop civic and social responsibility.

F3. Apply knowledge to find practical solutions to individual and communal problems.

F4. Developing the required competence to mingle with others and sharing the responsibilities.

F5. Inculcate skills for mobilizing the community participation.

F6. Inculcate leadership qualities to the students.

F7. Strengthen students to meet emergencies and natural disasters.

F8. Inculcate National integration and social harmony.

Roles and Responsibilities of NSS Cell:
As a Coordinator:

To interpret the scheme to the student volunteers and other members of the college community and create awareness about the NSS Programs.
To attend correspondence regularly between college and university.
To prepare progress report periodically for submission to college and university.
To maintain record of volunteers participation and programs undertaken.
To provide information about NSS motto, aims & objectives, philosophy and activities.
To enlist cooperation and coordination of community, agencies, government departments and non-governmental agencies.
To select or adopt the village/slum for service projects on the basis of utility and feasibility.

As a Faculty member:

To participate in every event organized
Motivate students towards social activities.
To prepare progress report periodically.
Interact with student members and volunteers regularly.
To maintain record of volunteers participation and programs undertaken.

As a Student: Our students are encouraged to involve in nation building through service activities that will inculcate national integration and human values in the students. NSS Unit nurtures these values. This unit organizes activities like:

Blood donation camps
Medical camps
Plantation camps
Health awareness camps
Clean & green programs and
Various natural calamity relief camps.
